Based at University of Victoria and headed by principal investigator Ray Siemens, INKE is a SSHRC-funded Major Collaborative Research Initiative that studies the development of the reading environment from manuscript, through print, and into the digital age with the goal of modeling, prototyping, and ultimately informing the design of reading environments in the digital age.
